I have been involved with Amateur Radio since first licensed as a Novice in 1967 with call sign WN9ZXG (Novice exam administered by Ken Bourne “K9GHR” now W6HK from WCRA). Later licensed in 1977 after a long absence from the hobby as a “Tech” WD9HCC, a General in 1979, (N9ABF) and to Advanced Class in 1985. Since licensed as an Advanced Class we have enjoyed participation the ARRL VEC Program and most recently a Technical Specialist in the ARRL Illinois Section under WA9IL Technical Coordinator. I have been a Life Member of the ARRL since 1985. Radio along with computers has been my interest for many years. We have enjoyed the integration of our hobby with computers and the Internet. Hopefully I will be able to reflect that interest with this site.
